This policy explains what personal information Moawin.pk collects, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. Moawin.pk is run by Moawin, Building 13, Block J, Gulberg III, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. You can reach us at contact@moawin.pk or +92 300 1405820.

1. What we collect

When you create an account: your name, email address, phone number and password. Passwords are stored in a scrambled form that nobody, including us, can read.

If you are a job seeker (candidate): the details you add to your profile and CV, such as father's name, date of birth, gender, address and city, education, work experience, languages, skills, projects, current and expected salary, preferred industry and profile photo, and any documents you upload, such as your CV, degrees and certificates.

If you are an employer: your company's details (name, address, industry, email, phone, website, NTN, number of employees and logo), the contact person's name, designation, email and phone, and the job ads you post.

If you represent an institute, organisation or consultancy: the details of your organisation, branches, courses, admissions and services that you publish.

When you use the site:

• Job applications you submit, and messages and files exchanged in chat between candidates and employers.
• Messages you send through our contact form, and course requests.
• Technical information that every website receives: your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. Our server logs keep this for 14 days, for security and to fix problems.

2. Cookies and similar tools

• A session cookie, needed to keep you logged in. The site can't work without it.
• Google Analytics, which counts visits and shows us which pages are used, so we can improve the site. It uses cookies and gives us statistics, not your identity.
• Google reCAPTCHA on our sign-up and login forms, to keep out automated abuse.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie, you won't be able to log in.

3. How we use your information

• To run Moawin.pk: your account, profile, job ads, applications and chat.
• To let employers find suitable candidates, and candidates find jobs, courses and institutes.
• To send emails you need, such as account verification, password resets and notifications about your applications or messages.
• To keep the site safe: preventing fraud, spam and misuse.
• To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it.
• To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who can see your information

• The public can see job ads, published articles and institute pages, and a limited version of candidate profiles.
• Registered, logged-in employers can see a candidate's full profile, including contact details and uploaded documents. That's how employers find and contact suitable candidates. When you apply for a job, that employer receives your profile.
• Chat messages and files are visible only to the two people in the conversation, and to Moawin staff when needed for support or to investigate misuse.
• Moawin staff who need it for their work.
• Service providers that run parts of the site for us, and only for that purpose:
  • Leaseweb: our servers, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
  • DigitalOcean: file storage and encrypted backups, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
  • Brevo: delivery of the emails we send.
  • Google: Analytics and reCAPTCHA.
  • Mailchimp: our newsletter, only if you subscribe.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

5. Where your information is kept

Your information is stored on servers in the Netherlands, so it is kept outside Pakistan. It is protected as described below wherever it is stored.

6. How we protect it

• Everything travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
• Personal documents, such as CVs and chat attachments, are stored privately. They are only handed out after the site checks that the person asking is allowed to see them.
• Passwords are stored in scrambled form.
• Backups are encrypted.
• Access to our systems is limited to the people who need it.

No website can be perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care and fix problems promptly.

7. How long we keep it

• Your account and profile: for as long as your account exists.
• After you delete it: it is removed from the live site. Copies may remain in our encrypted backups for up to one year, after which they are deleted automatically.
• Server logs: 14 days.
• Contact-form messages: as long as needed to answer and follow up.

8. Your choices and rights

• See and correct your information at any time in your account dashboard.
• Delete your profile from your dashboard, or ask us to delete your whole account.
• Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Unsubscribe from our newsletter with the link in any newsletter email.
• Block cookies in your browser.

For any request, write to contact@moawin.pk. We'll answer within 30 days.

9. Children

Moawin.pk is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account, please tell us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For important changes, we will also post a notice on the site.
